At some point in time everyone sustains loss. It is a part of life. The experience of loss is unique for everyone. Here's to Making It Count is a personal and true accounting from the author's perspective about several losses in her life over a short period of time. Beginning at the age of 16 and the loss of her mother due to alcoholism, she takes you through the journey of growing into early adulthood only to suffer the heartbreak over the death of two husbands within two years. With a central Vermont college town as the backdrop, her story of coping and finding her way through grief and sorrow while raising two young children is an inspiration.
