Phoenix Books and Myti Launch Main Street Over Wall Street Campaign

Burlington, VT, November 25, 2025 – No Kings. No Billionaires. Just Neighbors. This Small Business Saturday, Phoenix Books and Myti are teaming up with Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, ACRES, and Building Burlington’s Future in a new campaign: Main Street Over Wall Street. “Every minute, Vermonters send more than $1,100 to Amazon. That's over half a billion dollars each year leaving our communities.” says Joanna Grossman, Phoenix Books’ Community Relations Manager. “This campaign is about changing that.” In the midst of a grassroots community campaign against Amazon building a 107,000 square foot same-day delivery warehouse in Essex, Phoenix Books and Myti formed Main Street Over Wall Street to unite Vermont in support of the small businesses that bring life to our state.Small Business Saturday, the day after Black Friday, is at the heart of the campaign's efforts. “Vermont is our refuge and we need to protect it. This campaign is about allowing Vermont to invest in our values. We value community in Vermont. We are facing unprecedented federal cuts, and consumer pressures from multinational corporations extracting wealth from our community. It has never been more urgent for Vermonters to shore up our local economy,” says Grossman.
