Myti's First Shop Spotlight: Get to Know Glow

Tucked away along Route 7 in South Burlington, Glow Aesthetics Medical Spa has provided exceptional aesthetic services and boosted client confidence since 2017. This beauty haven is not your ordinary medical spa; Glow prioritizes community, trust, and the development of long-lasting client relationships above all else. What makes Glow stand out? Let's dive into our first Myti Shop Spotlight and find out what has made Glow Aesthetics an indispensable part of the community.

Dr. Ashley DiMeola is the owner and medical director of Glow Aesthetics Medical Spa, a Burlington staple. When Glow opened its doors, it was a small team with Dr. DiMeola, the medical director, and two aestheticians.  Glow has since doubled in size, adding two full-time nurse injectors to the staff. Reflecting on the journey, Dr. DiMeola notes, "Like any business, we've been through the twists and turns. Now we are a very community-oriented homegrown company”. Dr. DiMeola and her team at Glow have a clear goal for their work.  DiMeola explained that there is an emphasis on intentional aging and a “focus on the ethics of this industry,” providing “excellent care and excellent customer service.” This means that when you step through the doors of Glow, one can expect a collaborative treatment plan designed to focus on what is most important to you, enhance one's natural features and promote a graceful aging process.

When you search for “Glow Aesthetics Medical Spa” online, their Google Maps listing pops up. This highlights that Glow is among the top 500 medical spas nationally, and for good reason. Glow is equipped with some of the best technology in the industry, such as the Broad Band Light & MOXI laser treatment, and the only 100% pain-free laser hair removal machine in the state. In addition to top-of-the-line laser treatments, when asked what some of her favorite treatments to administer are, DiMeola proudly stated without hesitation and with a big smile, “liquid rhinoplasties.” Liquid rhinoplasties are when dermal filler is injected into the nose to help smooth out the dorsal hump or otherwise alter the shape. “I think sometimes people hear about Botox or injectables, and they think of the very basics, but the fact that you can help somebody with something that is that deeply emotionally impactful like that, it’s incredible,” DiMeola said, reflecting on what being able to offer these kinds of treatments mean not just to her, but Glow clients as well.   “You're doing something for them that is incredibly, incredibly impactful and it's nice to be able to do something that's such instant gratification but actually means so much more.”

Glow is the first Myti partner shop to sell high-quality skincare and wellness on the platform. Being a Myti partner shop means that Glow clients can purchase the products they need from wherever they are without making a special trip to Burlington. Dr. DiMeola will tell clients, “If you don't want to, don't drive in next time; just order it through Myti!” The Glow staff cheered excitedly when they had their first Myti sale and even included a handwritten thank you note to the customer for shopping through Myti. For Glow, being a Myti partner shop means that not only can clients purchase their products with ease, but they can support small businesses as well as their community in doing so, versus the larger industry giants, “paying the same amount of money for [the products] doesn’t do a ton for SkinCeuticals right? But for us, its life is changing. That's what I don't think people always understand with small businesses - yes, SkinCeuticals cares that the purchase happens, but it's not as impactful for them as it is for us.”

The women of Glow, were kind enough to share with Myti some of their favorite products available today, on Glow’s Myti shop page. First is Revision Skincare’s Revox, a serum that packs a major punch in visibly reducing lines and wrinkles, especially around the under eyes. Revox is “the very best under-eye treatment on the US market,” and you can find and purchase it at Myti, keeping your money in the community.

In addition to Revox, Revision’s DEJ Face Cream is highly recommended by one of Glow’s Nurse Injectors, Ella, and Silymarin, an acne-safe vitamin C serum from skincare powerhouse SkinCeuticals.

In addition to being fountains of knowledge on all things skin and beauty-related, when asked to share a fun fact about the business, the staff at Glow revealed that they are, in fact, candy fanatics. They are currently obsessed with Swedish candy and offered the treats in the breakroom during this interview!

In conclusion, Glow's partnership with Myti marks an exciting milestone for both businesses and the community they serve. By offering high-quality skincare and wellness products on the Myti platform, Glow clients can now enjoy the convenience of shopping from afar while still supporting their favorite local medspa. This collaboration demonstrates the power of small businesses working together to create a positive impact on their community. As we celebrate Glow's success and look forward to their continued growth, let's also appreciate the dedication and passion of the women behind this amazing business—and their sweet tooth for Swedish candy!
