Religious Favorites Christmas Card Set - Snowy Chapel

Religious Favorites Christmas Card Set - Snowy Chapel

A little white chapel sits in a winter wonderland, its steep roof dusted with white glitter snow that sparkles as the card catches the light. Evergreen garlands trace the eaves, round wreaths hang beside the arched windows and the red door, and a few birds drift across the pale sky. Pine trees frame the scene, and a wooden gate invites you up the snowy path.

Churches have been decorated with evergreens for centuries, since greenery stood as a symbol of life that doesn't fade in the cold. The verse on this card echoes the angels' song in Luke 2:14, "Peace on earth, goodwill toward men," which has been sung in churches at Christmas for generations. Birds have long symbolized peace too, with the dove that returned to Noah's ark carrying an olive branch as one of the oldest examples.

Inside, the verse reads "Rejoice in the season of peace and goodwill," followed by "Merry Christmas," a gentle reminder to slow down and celebrate with the people around you.
