This Introduction to Sock Knitting class is designed to help demystify the process and build confidence with the basics. Students will knit a worsted-weight, cuff-down shorty sock, an approachable project that allows you to clearly see the structure of a sock without the challenges of fine yarn.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis class will take place in two parts. In the first session, we’ll focus on turning the heel and picking up stitches for the gusset. In the second session, students will learn how to finish their sock using the Kitchener stitch to neatly close the toe.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis class is ideal for knitters who are comfortable with basic knitting and purling and are ready to try something new.
